On August 15, 2024, Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School proudly celebrated Independence Day with fervent patriotism and enthusiasm. Our esteemed chief guest, Shri Shrichand Sharma (MLC-BJP), graced the occasion. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the flag, followed by the National Anthem, as all students saluted the flag, embodying their pride as Indian citizens.
The event featured a series of impressive programs. We began with a heartfelt prayer dance, honouring our soldiers who sacrificed their lives safeguarding our borders. Our principal, Sister Dr. Shilpa Mary, welcomed our chief guest with a token of appreciation.
The march past was a highlight, with students displaying remarkable coordination and synchronized movements, accompanied by the rhythmic sound of marching feet that stirred our spirits. The younger students captivated us with a charming soldier dance, followed by inspiring Hindi speeches delivered by two junior students, which left a lasting impression.
The celebration continued with a vibrant mix of songs, dances, and English speeches. We also had the pleasure of awarding students who excelled in various competitions, making us all proud. The program concluded with a beautiful dance performance and a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone present for their contributions, motivation, and dedication to the spirit of being a true Indian.
Overall, the celebration was a heartwarming reminder of our unity as a nation, bound together by patriotism, peace, and harmony.
