Description:
“Talent wins games, but team-work and intelligence to wins championships.” We began the Annual Sports Meet on 26 November 2018 by embracing the spirit of the games motto – “Be the Legend”. Rev Fr Sebastian Kolithanam, the Director of KNEUS, the chief guest for the Opening Ceremony of Sports Meet 2018 hoisted the ‘Sports Flag’ and avowed the ‘Sports Meet Open’. The indoor games were inaugurated by him by cutting of Ribbon, striking the striker of carom and tossing the coin for the first match of Kabaddi. The victors were duly awarded by the Chief Guest.
The five days Sports was continued by showing our support for the competing athletes. We had four individual games and nine team games for the students of III – VI, eight individual games and one team game for classes I & II and 10 individual games for the Preprimary students. In all we had 32 events promoting full participation and we had 96% participation.
Mr. BM Sharma, Architect, the Chief Guest, Mr Suresh Kumar, Proprietor, the Guest of Honour enthused the students with their gracious presence on the Closing Ceremony Day. A few track events were held followed by awarding the Winners. The recipients of three Gold medals were awarded as Sports Champions from all three categories. The exploring of kinesthetic intelligence came to an end on 30 November 2018 after the Chief Guest declared the Sports Meet 2018 close, lowered the flag and retreat by the Colour Guards.
