Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School, Greater Noida, Organizes Parent Orientation on NEP 2020
On 28th September, Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School, Greater Noida, organized a Parent Orientation Program aimed at making parents aware of the various aspects and priorities of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The orientation began with a brief introduction, followed by a prayer and a prayer song performed by the school choir. Several teachers then provided an overview of holistic development, shared key points regarding evaluation under the new system, and highlighted important documentation requirements for ninth-grade students.
Following this, the Principal, Sr. Dr. Shilpa Mary, addressed the gathering. She discussed various aspects of child development, emphasizing the crucial role parents play alongside teachers in fostering the overall development of a child's personality, ultimately shaping them into well-rounded human beings. Sr. Dr. Shilpa spoke about the concept of helicopter parenting and its effects, the influence of parents' mindsets on students’ behavior, the parent-teacher-student relationship, and the importance of health and nutrition in a child's growth.
The session concluded with feedback from parents, marking the success of the program.
