Induction Program Summary
On 31st March 2025 Bethany convent school, conducted the induction session for the upcoming academic year, specifically for the new teachers who joined us.
In the first half, Sister Oliva, our Superior, gave a brief introduction about the core values and priorities of the Bethany Educational Society, emphasizing the institution's commitment to excellence, faith, and service.
Following this, our Academic Coordinator provided an overview of the teachers' duties related to academics and daily classroom responsibilities, ensuring clarity on expectations. Additionally, the Activity In-Charge highlighted the year-round activity schedule and explained the responsibilities associated with co-curricular events and student engagement.
After the initial session, our Principal, Dr. Sr. Shilpa Mary, took over the session. We all entered the hall with candles lit, symbolizing our commitment to spreading the light of knowledge. A heartfelt prayer was led by Sister, invoking blessings for a successful year ahead.
After the prayer, the new teachers were formally introduced to the staff, and as a token of welcome and encouragement for the upcoming session, they were presented with chocolates.
Sr. Shilpa then addressed us, emphasizing:
- The rules and regulations of the school that need to be adhered to.
- The importance of upholding core values such as discipline, compassion, and dedication in our teaching practices.
- A special focus was laid on supporting and nurturing weak students, ensuring that no child is left behind.
- She also stressed effective teaching practices, the importance of timely corrections, and maintaining detailed records to track student progress.
- Additionally, she outlined the duties assigned to each teacher, ensuring that everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities for the smooth functioning of the school.
The session concluded with the distribution of the time table, providing clarity on subject allocations and classroom schedules. The induction instilled a renewed sense of responsibility and preparedness among all teachers for the year ahead.
