On 16th November 2024, Bethany Convent School hosted the First RFC Junior Inter-School Athletic Meet 2024, a meticulously organized event that highlighted athletic excellence and fostered a spirit of sportsmanship.
The program began with an introduction speech, followed by a prayer and a serene prayer dance, creating a spiritual atmosphere. The Chief Guest, ACP Shri Pawan Kumar, and Guest of Honour, Sardar Manjeet Singh, were warmly welcomed with a sapling, symbolizing growth, and sustainability. A heartfelt floral tribute to Fr. RFC, the visionary founder, was a significant moment of the day. The flag hoisting and oath-taking ceremony followed, promoting unity and commitment.
The march past, marked by disciplined and vibrant participation, officially opened the meet. The Chief Guest then declared the meet open, and the lighting of the BCS Torch further ignited the competitive spirit.
The athletic events were diverse and engaging, featuring flat races, hurdle races, and relay races for both boys and girls from LKG to 2nd grade. The youngest athletes from UKG participated in the Boys and Girls Flat Race, followed by an energetic aerobics dance and a thrilling Tiger Dance by students of Classes 1 and 2. The heats and finals of each race were fiercely contested, showcasing the young athletes' skill and enthusiasm.
The prize distribution ceremonies celebrated the winners, acknowledging their hard work and athletic prowess. Students from LKG to 2nd grade displayed exceptional talent, making every race a memorable highlight.
The meet concluded with an inspiring speech by the Chief Guest, who emphasized the significance of perseverance and teamwork. A heartfelt vote of thanks marked the end of a highly successful and motivating event, leaving participants and spectators eager for future athletic meets.
